Buy Reggae Clothing

Reggae style is built around a few elements: loose, comfortable cuts, natural fibers, and red, gold, and green as accents. Here you’ll find pants, tops, ponchos, and accessories that fit the look - without turning it into a costume.

What an Outfit Consists Of

  1. Bottom: loose-fitting harem pants in earthy tones or black.
  2. Base: a simple shirt that doesn’t overpower the color accents.
  3. Statement: a poncho, shirt, or hoodie with a pattern or color.
  4. With it: flat hemp shoes and a shoulder bag or belt bag.

The rule of thumb: one statement piece, with the rest understated. This makes the look striking rather than costume-like.

Red, Gold, and Green

The three colors come from the flag of Ethiopia - the only African country to permanently resist European colonization. Red stands for the blood of those who fought for freedom, gold for Africa’s wealth and sun, and green for the fertile land and hope.

So anyone who wears these colors is not wearing just any color scheme, but a symbol with a history. Find out more on our page about Reggae clothing.

Natural Fibers Instead of Polyester

All pieces are made from cotton, hemp, or linen blends. At a multi-day festival, this makes a crucial difference: natural fibers breathe and absorb significantly less odor than synthetics.

What You Won’t Find Here

No Rasta costumes and no wigs with dreadlocks. Reggae and Rastafari emerged from a history of colonialism, resistance, and longing for a homeland - they are more than a combination of colors.

What we do: fairly made clothing in colors and cuts inspired by this culture, produced in small family-run businesses in northern Thailand and Nepal. Shipped carbon-neutral, with free shipping from 80 euros.
