564738 - Phi Um
Phi Um and his aunt run a fairly large family business in northern Thailand. Her company specializes in screen printing and digital printing, and also has a smaller dye-based varnishing and decorating facility.
We chose to partner with Phi Um for a few reasons we felt we should share with you so you can understand why knowing where your clothes come from is so important.
part of the family
Although Phi Um and his aunt run a larger business than our other partners, their business is still based on the same family values that we are proud of.
Keep it real
Phi Um refuses to work with anything other than natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, hemp and bamboo. That's why we were so excited to work with him at the beginning of our partnership.
It was clear from the start that Phi Um is serious about delivery and that everyone in the company is working towards a common goal of making quality clothing. Great care is taken to ensure that as little waste as possible is produced.
Once we have submitted our designs for production, the patterns are uploaded digitally to ensure that not a drop or thread is lost in the production process.
The results are so successful that we even invested in new sewing machines for his company to ensure top-notch sewing quality.
Certified dyeing process
At first we were reluctant to create designs using ink and paint because we wanted to make clothes that were natural and eco-friendly. But the more we grew and the more we worked with talented artists, the more we wanted to include them in our creations to show you the talent and art that is here.
At Phi Um, all paint standards are regularly checked, tested and certified. Only AZO-free dyes from Germany are used and the dye works also has a water treatment plant.
We also screen some of our artwork for prints and digital prints on our clothing with Phi Um, which has a prime environment for vibrant and colorful creations that we pride ourselves on for their durable looks and individual designs.
Phi Um is another partner we like to call friend. We often visit the company to discuss ideas and share knowledge about our areas of expertise. We have learned a lot from each other through this and can see this friendship growing as well as our business as we both care about quality.
Always a pleasure to see your work, thanks Phi Um!
