On one of our first trips to Nepal, we met Mahesh and immediately became friends with this open and welcoming man. He runs a family business in Kathmandu, Nepal, and his brother specializes in making vests. As we got to know him better and learned more about his values and vision for his business, we realized that he would be a wonderful person to collaborate with and learn from on our journey toward creating sustainable fashion.

So far, he has helped us create some of our most popular jacket designs, and we have shared many happy memories with him, which is why we wanted to introduce Mahesh, our partner and friend from virblatt, to you.

Family Business

Mahesh is a true family man, so it is only natural that his entire production team consists of uncles, aunts, and cousins who have worked with him since the beginning of his fashion journey. You can feel the love between each family member when you visit his shop, which is why we were so excited that he could help us make our coats.

The wool Mahesh uses to make our clothing is imported from New Zealand because of its high quality.

Natural Processing

We chose this sheep's wool because it has not been treated with chemicals to alter the material's natural feel and texture. That is why our jackets initially feel rougher than the synthetic cotton available in stores.

Quality, Not Quantity

The love shared by every member of his team is woven into the work carried out by Mahesh and his family. Every detail is quality-checked, and every knot is a proud example of their teamwork. For this reason, it takes a little longer to make some of the creations we offer on virblatt available.

Spread the Love

This is exactly what Mahesh and his family stand for in their work and in the community they serve. After the recent earthquakes in Nepal, he and his family halted production to help rebuild their neighborhood and support those in need. This is just one example of his character and his unwavering values of friendship and unity.
